Nearest Accommodations: Star City Location: From Star City take Hwy 293 going east for about 5 miles. The entrance to the State Park will be on your left. Follow this road to the playground and picnic area. Type: Single track / loop Distance: About 15.5 miles Summary: We have not had the pleasure of riding this trail as of yet but it is on the near future list. Here is an excerpt from a rider who has. "Very diverse trail starting (if you go clockwise) in some beautiful rolling hills and heavily wooded. This trail as like 50 bridges including 3 big suspension bridges that are really cool to ride. They have also built a nice boardwalk section through a wetter area. Don't think you'll get out of this ride dry though, it does have some nice stream crossings. The last 5 miles of the trail is along the top of a levee. At first I thought this would be the easy part of the ride but it has tire sucking grass which gives riders a nice little workout. This trail is an unexpected treasure in a part of the state that really needed a good mtn bike trail." Recommended Route: Clockwise Rating: From what i have read and heard about this this trail there is no big climbs and really not to technical. One place I read where they rode the trail and did the entire ride in about 1 hour, but we will let you know more after we get down there.
