5 Miles Loop System 2.0 Total Climbing Miles 512' High 7.4% Avg Grade
14.8 Climb Index 95% Singletrack 2.0 Total Descending Miles 286' Low 14% Max Grade

Overview: The trail is not real long if you follow the outer loops, however there are various little trails that jot off of the main loop. The loop is divided into two sections a North Loop and a South Loop. In order to get from one loop to the other you have to ride through a nice little neighborhood. We started at some tennis courts and made our way around the trail. There is no long hard climbs on this trail and most of it is pretty tame. There are a few short steep climbs and a couple of fun little downhill's. The trail shows its kin to the Ouachita’s due to the number of rocks and roots in the path. If you are looking for a quick ride after work or just to get out and cruise, then this would be a good trail to pick. There are a few little sections that are rocky and or have some big roots that one must negotiate but other than that it is a fairly tame trail. This is a multi-use trail and lots of folks take walks on it so be prepared for hikers.

Recommended Route: The trail head is located just behind the Tennis Courts just off the paved trail. I generally ride the South Loop in a CCW direction and the North in a CW direction.

Rating: This trail would be good for just about anyone. The day I went we had a new beginner with us, it was on this trail that she fell in love with mountain biking. Experts will like the trail for a quick workout, the beginner will appreciate it for developing needed skills.

Arkansas Trail Rules

Ride Open Trails: Respect trail and road closures — ask a land manager for clarification if you are uncertain about the status of a trail.

Leave No Trace: Be sensitive to the dirt beneath you. Wet and muddy trails are more vulnerable to damage than dry ones. Don't cut switchbacks. Be sure to pack out at least as much as you pack in.

Control Your Bicycle: Inattention for even a moment could put yourself and others at risk. Obey all bicycle speed regulations and recommendations, and ride within your limits.

Yield Appropriately: Riders yeild to foot and horse traffic. Riders traveling downhill should yeild to ones headed uphill, unless signed for oneway or downhill traffic only.

Never Scare Animals: Animals are easily startled by an unannounced approach, a sudden movement or a loud noise. Give animals enough room and time to adjust to you.

Plan Ahead: Know your equipment, your ability and the area in which you are riding and prepare accordingly. Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear.
